This precious charm was inspired by the warm, sweet and spicy star anise; used for centuries in medicine, cooking and spiritual practices, it’s one of my favourite seed pods and flavours. I sand cast real seed pods in brass; not only is every seed pod completely unique, the resultant casting outcome has a magical unpredictability meaning even ‘pairs’ are different. The casting textures are emphasised with high shine areas giving these a wonderfully starry sparkle.
Supplied with a sterling silver belcher chain, approx 46cm (18 inches) long. There are two variations shown in the photos of how this charm hangs:
Option 1: attached via a sterling silver Albert swivel clasp
Option 2: attached via 2 sterling silver twisted hoop links
Made from brass and sterling silver. Brass will patina over time depending on your wearing habits but can easily be restored to shiny at home. Please take a look at Materials & Care to make sure this piece is right for you.
